Betsy Pollard
Playing History
  • Native of Sioux City, Iowa, who attended the University of Kansas on a soccer scholarship where she played goalkeeper from 1996 to 1999. She ended her career as the captain of the team and the record-holder for the lowest goals against average in a single season.
Coaching History
  • Worked for Major League Soccer\'s (MLS) Kansas City Wizards for more than two years. Pollard was the director of camp operations for the Wizards, where she created and implemented a variety of youth camps and academies.

  • Pollard was then accepted into the elite Sports Management Masters program sponsored by FIFA, the world governing body of soccer, which accepts just 25 students per year. The program took her to England, Italy and Switzerland, spending a semester in each country.
  • After completion of her master\'s degree in 2003, she accepted a position at the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) in the Coaching Education Department, coordinating all "A, B and C" coaching licensing courses in Region III and IV.
