Coach Paul Broome has played professionally with Major League Soccer for the past eight years. Selected in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 1999 MLS Draft, he has played in over 125 MLS games with Real Salt Lake, Los Angeles Galaxy, and the Dallas Burn. He has played internationally in Chile, England, France, Germany, Korea (Korean Peace Cup), Mexico, and Spain. He also trained with Tottenham Hotspurs of the English Premier League in January 2000. He currently holds a USSF Pro "B" Coaching License

A native of Dallas, Texas, Broome attended Southern Methodist University on a soccer scholarship. While on the hilltop, he made Four NCAA Tournament Appearances, earning 1st All-Midwest Region 1997, 1st All-WAC 1997 and 1998, 2nd All-WAC 1996. Broome graduated from SMU in 1999 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

Prior to college, Broome attended Lake Highlands High School where he earned All-District 1994 and 1995, All-Area 1995 and All-State 1995 honors. He was also a member of the Dallas Hornets’ and Dallas Texans’ soccer clubs. He played in the opening game of the 1993 and 1994 Dallas Cup Super Group against Boca Juniors and Real Madrid.

Other club soccer accolades include: Orange Bowl Champion, San Diego Surf Cup Champion and State Cup Champion. Broome was also awarded All-District, All-Area, and All-State honors in football.
