South Bay Force BU16 Premier team made it to the National Cup semi-final game on Saturday, May 15th at Rancho Capistrano.  They were playing a man-down after the first 5 minutes of play because one of their teammates got a red card for a foul as 'last defender'.  It was 0-1 at half time, and Jose Villareal scored to tie it up.  After regulation play, the game went into the two 15 minute overtimes, and it was still tied 1-1 after that.  The team had the run of play, but just couldn't put a goal in the back of the net.  They eventually lost in PKs.  This showing in National Cup ends a stellar season for the team.  They were Premier League Champions, remaining undefeated through league play, tournaments, showcases, as well as national cup play. The team also are the winners of the North- South Championship tournament which pits the top two teams from Northern California's premier level against the top two teams from Southern Cal's premier league.  It will be an exciting summer for this team as they continue to progress under the coaching of Pancho Diaz!
